My close friend asked me, naper guna ‘I’ in my posting? Dia cakap tak jantan lar guna I. gunalar ‘aku’. I spontaneously answered him, Jantan? me no komen.
I wonder what is the best way to bahasakan diri kita when talking to people around us. Kalau kita guna bahasa inggeris oklar, there will be no problem as we can always use I and U, in any situation and to any people regardless who they are. Tapi kalau bahasa Melayu macam mana? Some people might see it as trivia, when selecting ‘ganti nama diri’ while talking, tapi to me it show how do we really feel about us and the person who we talk to. For me for example, when talking to my parents and my family member I will use my nama manja. hehehehe (no need to mention what, it might cause injury to the heart as some people are so cruel out there. I hate those people - note that hate is softly uttered)
Sometimes, it is tricky for me to choose nak guna 'aku' ker 'I' ker 'saya' ker to my new acquaintance which potentially gonna be my future friends. When comes to this kind of situation I think I’ll choose 'I', because to me it is safe, then bila dah kenal dah bagai bagai, barular I slowly converting it to ‘aku’ …neverlar I guna ‘saya’…hahahahahaha. The truth about using ‘aku’, it shows closeness and how long I know some people. I know some friend who keep using 'saya' bila berbahasa… even after so many times meeting him and we kind of clicked… I just don’t know how to react. Sometimes it feel weird as I am using ‘aku’ dia guna ‘saya’ and softly call me as my first name… arghhhhhh!!!!
Tapi kalau kita nak bercinta cintan … kita nak bahasakan apa ya ngan partner kita? nyeh nyeh nyeh…Awak? Saya? Wak? Kita? I? U? … hehehehehhe… tricky kan? Susah jugek nak pilih… sebab I rasa the selection of ganti nama, will show how do we feel about the person we talk to. Me guna …….. , (malu nak cakap, nanti kena gelak)
